Welcome to Jemeti OS

Jemeti OS is a multi-tenant, web-based operating system for vehicle workshops. One subdomain per workshop (yourgarage.jemeti.com), one login for the owner, role-scoped logins for staff. It runs in the browser — desktop at the counter, phone at the vehicle.

It replaces the paper, the Excel sheet, and the calculator: one login covers the counter (POS), the repair floor (job cards, DVI inspections, quotations, bays), the storeroom (inventory, purchase orders, warranty claims), the office (payroll, attendance), and the accountant (double-entry ledger, trial balance, P&L) — all with Bangla-ready documents, TIN/BIN fields, VAT handling, QR payment cards for MFS (bKash/Nagad) and Bank Accounts on every invoice, and prices in your local currency, such as ৳ (BDT).

This manual walks you through setting up your workspace, running day-to-day operations module by module, and finding the exact quotas, permission keys, and API details when you need them.

How money moves through the product

There are four core flows. Everything else hangs off them.

  1. Counter walk-in — POS Terminal → scan/search a part → per-line discount + optional sale discount → category tax applied automatically → pay via a cash register, bank, or mobile-wallet payment account or record the full amount as due (an account sale — credit). One action issues the invoice, records the receipt, posts the ledger, and decrements stock.
  2. Workshop job — Add Job (vehicle, priority, payer type, promised date, odometer, customer concern) → DVI inspection on intake → quotation from services/parts → customer approves → the job moves through bays and QC → invoice from the job (parts + labor combined) → receipt → a service reminder is auto-created for the next due date.
  3. Back office — every flow above posts to the general ledger automatically. The owner sees Trial Balance and P&L, AR aging, technician efficiency, and bay utilisation without a bookkeeper.
  4. People — employees clock in/out; leave is requested and approved; month-end payroll sheets compute gross, deductions, and net payable — and post to the ledger.

Where to start

  • Getting Started — create your workspace, invite your team, configure the basics.
  • Quickstart — run your first counter sale and your first workshop job end to end.
  • User Manual — module-by-module walkthroughs: dashboard, sales & POS, workshop, inventory, vehicles & CRM, staff & HR, accounting, and platform settings.
  • Reference — plans & quotas, roles & permissions, and the API.

Starting in Bangladesh, Global adaption in queue

  • Prices display in ৳ (BDT); dates support DD/MM/YYYY; the timezone follows your shop (Asia/Dhaka), not a server in UTC.
  • Invoices carry TIN and Business Registration (BIN) numbers and a VAT line.
  • credit (credit) is a first-class feature, not a workaround: account sales, due tracking, settle-later receipts, and AR aging buckets (0–30 / 31–60 / 61–90 / 90+ days).
  • Challan and Gate Pass documents are built in and print on your own letterhead.
  • QR payment cards — configure bKash/Nagad/bank cards once and every invoice and receipt prints them.

Next: Installation.
