Quickstart
Two flows cover most of a working day: a counter sale and a workshop job. Run each once and you know the product.
Flow 1 — a counter sale (POS)
- Open Sales → POS Terminal.
- Search or scan a product. Tiles show name, SKU, live stock count, and price — press Enter on an exact SKU/barcode match to add it instantly (works with a cheap USB/Bluetooth barcode scanner).
- Adjust quantity and any per-line discount. A sale-level discount covers the whole bill (permission-gated). Tax from the product's category applies to each line automatically.
- Optionally attach a customer — search by name or masked contact number. Walk-in works too.
- Click Review & Charge:
- Pick a payment method — your payment accounts from the Accounting module (cash register, bank, bKash/Nagad).
- In cash mode, use the quick-cash buttons for instant change math.
- No payment method? Press "Record as due" — an account sale . The amount sits on the customer's balance, and the sale shows up with a DUE value in Sales → Sales until it is settled.
- Charge. The completion screen shows the bill number and gives you Print receipt, View invoice, and New Sale.
Under the hood, one action issued the invoice, recorded the receipt, decremented stock, and posted a double-entry journal. You did nothing extra.
Flow 2 — a workshop job
- Open Workshop → Floor and click ADD JOB (or go to Workshop → Jobs).
- Fill the intake form in one screen: pick the customer's vehicle from the fleet, set priority (Standard / High / Urgent) and payer type (Self-Pay, Insurance, Warranty Claim, Fleet Account), the requested mechanic, the promised date, the odometer reading, and the customer's own words in customer concern.
- On intake, run the DVI (Digital Vehicle Inspection) from the job's DVI tab using your DVI template. The completed inspection shows the inspector, timestamp, and a health score — its findings become the quotation.
- Open the Quote tab: line items from your service catalog and parts list, with subtotal / tax / total. Click PRINT to print it or SEND to send it to the customer. The customer approves before work starts — no "you said it would cost 1,500!" arguments at delivery.
- Once approved, the job moves In Progress in its bay, through QC and verification, to Pending Delivery → Completed → Closed. The job detail page tracks quoted vs invoiced totals the whole way.
- Generate the invoice from the job (parts + labor combined) and take the payment — a receipt is recorded with the payment method used.
- When the invoice is issued, a service reminder is automatically created for the vehicle's next due date. Dispatch them in bulk from Workshop → Reminders.
What just happened
In two flows you:
- Sold parts at the counter with correct tax, a receipt, and live stock — or recorded the sale as credit with the due tracked.
- Took a vehicle in with documented inspection, quoted with the customer's approval, and invoiced parts + labor on one bill.
- Fed the general ledger, the stock counts, the vehicle's service history, the technician's hours, and next month's reminders — all automatically.
That's the daily loop. The rest of this manual covers each module in detail, starting with the Dashboard.
Tip: your Trial Balance and P&L are ready at
Accounting → Reportswhenever you want them — no bookkeeper required.
